NAB & NADRA Get Tax Record 2022
NAB/NADRA gets tax record access. The Electricity connection, mobile phone connection, and other connections of non-filers to be disconnected as per the order of the competent authority of the Government of Pakistan in 2022. Tax Law Amendment
As per the third amendment in the Tax Law, NAB (National Accountability Bureau) and NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) have authority to disconnect the mobile phone, telephone, electricity, and other connections of non-filers and or non-taxpayers.
Order of Ministry of state of information
The decision will be empowered by FBR to cut off the connections of all non-taxpayers. The Ministry of state of information Mr. Farrukh Habib also added that FBR has to collect the data from NADRA of nonfilers and nontax payers.
Filers with unpaid Taxes
He further added that there is a list of about one million filers who did not submit their taxes till now. This is confirmed by the information bank of the National Database and Registration Authority Government of Pakistan.
Govt of Pakistan Deleted Section 198
The Govt of Pakistan Deleted Section 198. The description of this section was to avoid top get the data from the filers from NADRA or else. The new amendment is made in it and now the competent authority can get access to personal detail of all filers from NADRA and other resources.
Sections 107 and 216
If anyone disobeys Sections 107 and 216 then he/she will be punished by the competent authority and there will be a Punishment/charge of amount 500000.00 on that person.
NAB has granted Permission
NAB has Granted Permission from the higher authority to make some amendments in the tax laws to give some relief to the authority. The amendments will be made by the Government of Pakistan to make competent authority able to get immunity to get access to all the filers such as listed below
- Members of parliament
- Bureaucracy
- Public servants
- People in service of
- Public office holders, their spouses & children

Disconnection of Essential Services
There will be suggestions to the Government of Pakistan to disconnect the essential services of non-filers and non-taxpayers from now to till recovery. This will be a good step to recover a big amount of income for developmental programs. The services are given below

- Mobile Phone Connection
- Gas Connection
- And other Connections
Giving NADRA Access
The permission has been granted to NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) to access all information and provide it to the competent authority on demand. It will be helpful for the competent authority to get all nonfilers and non-taxpayers. It will ultimately help the Government of Pakistan to recover a big amount of money to be used for developmental projects.
