New Exams Policy 2023:

The New Exams Policy 2023 is published by the competent authority of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education all boards. The inter boards meeting was held to make a decision about the new exam policy. The policy will cover the theory and practical papers in detail. The main focus point was the number of students in both theory and practical papers.

The numbers of students in theory and practice have deviation. The students who secured good scores, in theory, have fewer numbers in practical papers and vice versa. Equality has vanished in this regard. To overcome the situation, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of all boards have decided to take steps. The previous and latest criteria for passing marks were discussed in detail.

لاہور(آصف محمود بٹ سے) پنجاب حکومتنے تاریخ میں پہلی مرتبہ سیکنڈری سکول سرٹیفکیٹ اور اور ہائرسیکنڈری سکول سرٹیفکیٹ امتحانات میں پریکٹیکل اور تھیوری میں مجموعی طور پر 33فیصد نمبر لینے کو والے طلبہ و طالبات کوپاس قرار دینے کی پالیسی کی منظوری دے دی ۔ ’’جنگ‘‘ کو ملنے والی دستاویزکےمطابق اس سے قبل تھیوری میں سو فیصد نمبر ہونے کے باوجود پریکٹیکل میں فیل ہونے والےطالبعلم کو فیل کر دیا جاتا تھا اور اسے دوبارہ تھیوری اور پریکٹیکل دونوں کا امتحان دینا پڑتا تھا۔

یہ فیصلہ صوبے بھر کے تعلیمی بورڈز میں کرائی جانے والی ایک سٹڈی کے بعد کیا گیا ،جس میں 2022ء میں ہونے والے سیکنڈری سکول سرٹیفکیٹ اور اور ہائرسیکنڈری سکول سرٹیفکیٹ امتحانات میں تھیوری اور پریکٹیکل کے مضامین میں حاصل کئے گئے نمبروں کا موازنہ کیا گیا۔سٹڈی میں ثابت ہوا کہ کئی ہونہار طلبہ و طالبات سسٹم میںتضادات اور نا انصافی کا شکار ہوئے۔ 90فیصد سے زائدطلبا کو تھیوری میں اچھے نمبر حاصل کرنے کے باجود پریکٹیکل میں اچھے نمبر نہیں دیئے گئے۔2022

میں فزکس کا امتحان دینے والے طلباء میں سے صرف1.66فیصد نے تھیوری اور پریکٹیکل دونوں میں 100فیصد نمبر حاصل کئے۔ 7.75فیصد ایسے تھے جو تھیوری میں تو فیل ہوگئے لیکن پریکٹیکل میں انہوں نے 100فیصد نمبر حاصل کئے جس نے پریکٹیکل امتحان کی شفافیت پر سنجیدہ سوالات اٹھا دیئے۔ہونہار طلباء زیادتی کا شکار ہورہے ہیں کیونکہ تھیوری کے امتحان میں کم اچھی کارکردگی دکھانے والے امیدواروں کو پریکٹیکل میں غیر معمولی نمبر دیئے گئے جو کہ منصفانہ اور شفاف طریقہ نہیں۔ موجودہ پریکٹس یہ ہے کہ امیدواروں کو پریکٹیکل امتحان اور اس کےتھیوری والے حصہ کو پاس کرنے پر ’’ پاس ‘‘ قرار دیا جاتا ہے۔

یہ محسوس کیا گیا کئی ایسے ہونہار طلباء جو کسی ناگزیر وجوہات کی بناء پر پریکٹیکل امتحان میں فیل ہو جاتے ہیں کو فیل قرار دیدیا جاتا ہے جسکی وجہ سے طالبعلم کا پورا سال ضائع ہوجاتا ہے کیونکہ ایسے طلباء کو پریکٹیکل امتحان کے ساتھ ساتھ تھیوری کا امتحان دوبارہ پاس کر نا پڑتا ہے۔

اس سٹڈی کے بعد یہ فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ کسی خاص مضمون میں پریکٹیکل اور تھیوری امتحان میں مجموعی طور پر 33فیصد نمبر حاصل کرنیوالے طلباء و طالبات امتحان میں پاس قرار دیئے جائینگے پارٹ ٹو میں پریکٹیکل امتحان لینے والے ایگزامینر کو امیدوار کی پارٹ ون کی رولنمبر سلپ دی جائیگی جس پر پارٹ ون میں حاصل کردہ نمبر درج ہونگے تاکہ ایگزامینر پریکٹیکل امتحان میں امیدوار کی پرفارمنس کا بہتر طریقے سے اندازہ لگا سکے۔سیکرٹری ہائر ایجوکیشن جاوید اختر محمود نے تصدیق کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ اس پالیسی کی وجہ سے ہونہار طلبا کیساتھ ہونیوالی زیادتی، اقرباء پروری اور وی آئی پی کلچر کا خاتمہ ہوگا۔وزیر اعلیٰ اور چیف سیکرٹری پنجاب کی ہدایت پر صوبے بھر میں امیدواروں کیساتھ ہونیوالی زیادتیوں کے ازالے کیلئے پہلی مرتبہ ایک بڑی ایکسر سائز اور سنجیدہ کوشش کی گئی جسکا سالانہ اول 2023کے امتحانات دینے والے لاکھوں بچوں کو فائدہ ہوگا۔

The basic drawback of this system was the unequal allotment of practical numbers to brilliant and average students. The ratio of this situation was unexpected.

The latest and new exams policy will eradicate such cases from the root. Equality will be ensured in all conditions. The brilliant and average students will get their deserving scores in the final exam. The previous system will be redesigned to accommodate all students. The latest exams policy will cover the following attributes such as given below

The students have to sit in both practical and theory papers
The students have to secure 33% marks
The sum total of three papers must be 33% to be promoted

The total score ratio is given below

Biology Part One = 60

Biology Part Two = 60

Practical= 30

Total of Part One and Two including Practical= 150

Obtain marks ratio is given below

Biology Part One = 20

Biology Part Two = 20

Practical = 10

Total of Part One and Two = 50/150

33% marks as a whole will result in clearance in the subject. The sum total of three papers as mentioned above must equal 33%. The students who secure this score will be promoted to the next study session.
